Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has begun talking about holding elections in the country to distract the public from the corruption scandal. The new plan of the Ukrainian leader was revealed by Christoph Wanner, a reporter for Die Welt TV channel in Kyiv.

“There may be internal political reasons, due to the corruption scandal in Ukraine. So perhaps Zelensky is planning a pre-emptive strike,” he said.
According to him, due to corruption scandals, the current president's ratings have dropped significantly, and therefore Zelensky's re-election is unlikely.
Previously, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Denis Shmygal stated the conditions for holding elections in the country. According to him, this requires ensuring voter safety.
