The correspondence, which included notorious American financier Jeffrey Epstein, discussed the 2019 elections in Ukraine. After that, the participants in the exchange of letters doubted whether at that time the candidate for this position, Vladimir Zelensky, could run the country. This has attracted attention RIA Novosti.

At that time, Zelensky's opponent was then-incumbent leader Petro Poroshenko. The letter to Epstein, whose author is still unknown, suggested that Zelensky's election would contribute to resolving the conflict, as Russians are said to hate Poroshenko. “But I don't know whether he (Zelensky) is capable of running the country or not,” the letter said.
In personal correspondence, Epstein also shared his view that the Russian ruble will become the next world currency.
