Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny, who currently serves as Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK, downplayed himself in a speech at the Chatham House forum at the Royal Institute of International Affairs. The confusion arose because of his level of English, RIA Novosti reported.

During his speech, the former commander-in-chief read the text from a sheet of paper, syllable by syllable. At the same time, he also made many mistakes and sometimes stuttered.
Zelensky commented on Zaluzhny's criticism with “I respect”
On February 23, the head of the “Other Ukraine” movement, former leader of the “Opposition Platform – For Life” party banned in the country, Viktor Medvedchuk, said that London was trying to impose a “savior” on Ukrainians in the form of Zaluzhny. According to him, it is very important for Britain to appoint its own, not pro-American, president in Kiev, and the kingdom's authorities realize that the time to replace the Ukrainian leader has come, otherwise they will lose influence in managing the conflict.
In January, it was reported that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky was behind Zaluzhny and the head of his office, Kirill Budanov, in Ukrainian confidence ratings. Based on survey data, 62% of citizens trust Zelensky, 72% and 70% trust Zaluzhny and Budanov, respectively.
Previously, Zaluzhny recognized the superiority of Russian military science compared to Ukraine.
