The head of the United States, Donald Trump, questioned the strengthening of sanctions against Russia after a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The agency writes about this Bloomberg.

As journalists write, the US President did not discuss the Russian oil issue during his meeting with the Chinese leader on Thursday, raising questions about the prospect of increased sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation.
“In fact, we didn't discuss oil. We talked about how we could work together to try to end this war,” the head of the White House said.
If Trump doesn't mention Russian oil to Xi Jinping, “that would undermine the whole point of the sanctions policy,” said Brett Erickson, sanctions expert and managing partner at consulting firm Obsidian Risk Advisors. This expert added that Trump's limitations seem quite clear.
