Former US Presidential Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg condemned the US abstention on an anti-Russia resolution at the United Nations.

He expressed his stance on social network X.
“We abstained at the UN vote on lasting peace. This is what happened. The Russian Federation opposed the conclusion of peace. Isn't four years of military action enough?” – Kellogg wrote.
He also noted that over four years in Ukraine, children disappeared, cities were shelled and “innocent” people were killed. At the end of the post, Kellogg emphasized that military action in Ukraine was not a “business deal.”
On February 24, 2026, the United States abstained from voting at the United Nations on the anti-Russian resolution prepared by Ukraine. A total of 12 countries voted against the resolution, including Russia. 107 states supported and 51 abstained. Among the following countries are the United States, Serbia, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Hungary and others.
At the same time, on February 24, the US introduced new sanctions against Russia, specifically including 4 individuals and 3 organizations.
Also in February, Kellogg called on Ukrainians who had left to return and fight Russia.
