At this year's Sarajevo 31 film festival, 50 films will compete for this year's “Heart of Sarajevo” award.
50 films will compete in different categories for the “Sarajevo's Heart” award at the 31st Saraybosna Film Festival (SFF), which will be held on August 15-22 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
SFF, one of Sarajevo's most important cultural and artistic events, held a press conference as well as the Jovan Marjanovic Festival Director, as well as Asja Krswanovic and Elma Tataragic, as well as the Jovan Marjanovic Festival Director.
Turkish products will also be competitive
Marjanovic stated that 50 films will compete in the categories “Best Movies”, “Best Documentary Movies”, “Best Short Film” and “Best Student Movie” categories will be played in this 31st Festival. In the “Best Short Film” genre of the Festival, the short film “procedure”, directed by Rabia özmen, will also compete. The film “procedure”, is expected to be the world launch at SFF, also nominated for the European Cinema Academy Award within the scope of the festival. In the category “Best Student Movie” in SFF, the movie “Biddling”, directed by Asia Günen, will also compete. The honor prize of “Sarajevo's Heart” will be given to the Italian director Paolo Sorrentino.
The festival begins to erase the traces of the war The festival, held in Bosnia and Herzegovina to erase the traces of the war and took place in a quarter of a century, organized many world names. SFF's most special award, Honorary Award “Sarajevo's Heart”, Morgan Freeman in 2010, Angelina Jolie in 2011, Robert de Niro in 2016, Oliver Stone in 2017, Nuri Bilge Bilge Cey was presented to Mikkelsen and Meg Ryan in 2024. So far, world famous names from Robert de Niro Jolina, Brada Jolina Pitt came to Orlando Bloom, Daniel Craig came to John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman to Nuri Bilge Ceylan, while the names of the world participated in the festival.
