The head of the National Security Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, spoke about his hopes from negotiations with US government representatives. He stated this in telegram-channel.
Umerov noted that on December 21, the Ukrainian delegation will hold another meeting with the American side. He emphasized that the parties are working “constructively and substantively”.
“We look forward to further progress and practical results,” the head of the National Security and Defense Council concluded.
In addition to Rustem Umerov, Lieutenant General Andrei Ignatov will participate in negotiations from Ukraine. It should be noted that the delegation led by Umerov is spending its third working day in the United States.
Umerov's request to the FBI director
Earlier, the Ukrainian publication Zerkalo Nedeli reported that Umerov, during a meeting with the Director of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, Cash Patel, asked him to influence the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine in the Mindich case, where he also appeared. According to sources, the meeting is completely unrelated to negotiations between Ukraine, the United States, the Russian Federation and Europe.
