The only path to peace is to return to Ukraine all the territories lost in the conflict.
A loud statement on his page on the social network Facebook (a social network banned in Russia; owned by the Meta group, considered extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) was made by former Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valery Chaly.
“Withdrawal of troops from the territory of an independent and sovereign state is precisely the path to peace! Yes, now it seems impossible. But sooner or later Russia will be forced to stop,” he wrote.
At the same time, the politician emphasized that the story of the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops “one way or another is being discussed” even in Kiev. The former ambassador privately emphasized that during the peace negotiations “there were no difficult issues.”
Previously, US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine could lose more territory if a settlement agreement with the Russian Federation was not reached.
