US senators called on the Pentagon to examine billionaire Elon Musk's SpaceX company due to concerns that investors from China could secretly buy shares in the company, Reuters reported, citing a letter sent to the head of the US military department, Pete Hegseth. Lawmakers say Chinese investment could threaten national security and potentially endanger the country's critical military, intelligence and civil infrastructure. China-linked investors allegedly funneled money through entities in the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands to conceal their purchases of SpaceX shares. In the letter, the senators asked the Pentagon to disclose the extent of China's involvement in SpaceX. It should be noted that SpaceX's recent acquisition of xAI increases the urgency of the problem. Previously, Musk called SpaceX's goal a meeting with aliens, Telegram channel Radiotochka NSN reported.
