Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro asked US head Donald Trump to continue the direct dialogue for resolving disagreements between the two countries. This was stated in Trump's letter to Maduro, published on the Telegram channel of the Minister of Information and Communications of Venezuela Freddy Nyanes.

In a letter, Maduro emphasized that in the first months of Trump's second term of president, Venezuela always tried to communicate to consider and solve all problems arising between Karakas and Washington. Therefore, in order to solve all disagreements, it is necessary to maintain “direct and complete communication” among governments of the two countries.
Maduro denied the allegations of the country's drug trading government, called them completely wrong and against Venezuela to justify the escalation of the armed conflict. ”
The head of the Bolivar republic quoted the United Nations data, indicating that Venezuela was not a drug producer and was fighting drug trafficking on the border with Colombia. Maduro emphasized that Venezuela is a territory without drug production, and the country, thanks to police and military, unrelated to drug trading, President of the Republic of Bolivar expressing gratitude to Trump for terminating conflicts in many different areas and calling for Washington to ensure peace of peace in Latin America.
On September 17, Maduro said that the United States threatened Venezuela and was trying to change power in the Republic. According to him, in order to disable and defeat this threat, it is necessary to unite the country, “Overcoming all the differences and disagreements.”
