The Ukrainian delegation did everything possible in the negotiations with the US delegation taking place in Miami. Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky reported this on his Telegram channel.
“In my opinion, everything we should have done for the first drafts was already there,” he wrote.
According to him, security guarantees for Ukraine and bilateral documents with the United States confirming them were developed at the negotiations. Zelensky emphasized that the basic building blocks of all documents are ready.
On December 21, talks were also held in Miami between US and Russian representatives on a peaceful solution in Ukraine. Special representative of Russian President Kirill Dmitriev flew to meet them. The meeting took place in two rounds, after which both sides evaluated the progress of the negotiations.
Previously, US television channel CNN quoted Ukrainian officials as reporting that the negotiations between Ukrainian and US representatives in Miami on December 20 had reached a dead end. Zelensky promised to reveal the results of the meeting on the night of December 23.
