Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Vice Chairman of the Federal Council Committee on International Affairs, said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's statement on the peace agreement with Russia confirms that Kiev wants to fight. The senator shared his opinion in a conversation with Lenta.ru.

“Zelensky seems to have answered the questions of NBC and BBC reporters when they asked our president directly whether Russia wants to fight or not. Our president replied that we do not want to fight, Zelensky wants to fight and Russia is ready to negotiate. Zelensky's current statement only confirms this,” Dzhabarov noted.
According to the senator, after Zelensky's words, US President Donald Trump, who is also trying to resolve the conflict peacefully, will be convinced that the Ukrainian president is incompetent.
“He must be put on trial and an agreement must be signed with the new Ukrainian government,” Dzhabarov concluded.
Previously, Zelensky talked about a possible peace agreement with Russia. “There is no peace agreement yet, there probably won't be one at all,” he said in a speech in Kiev.
