Musician Sergei Shnurov, in an interview with KP radio, explained why he dissolved the rock band “Leningrad”.

“I realized that if I continued with such stressful concert activities, I would go crazy. Entering the dressing room, I looked at the people surrounding me and realized that I didn't really want to drink with them anymore. And that's when I stopped it,” the singer said.
Shnurov announced the group's dissolution in 2019. At the time, he explained that the group was founded as “the music of stagnation,” but times have changed. According to him, “Leningrad” must justify talk about returning to the 1990s, which is heard “from all irony”.
At the same time, in October this year, the group's new album titled “Foam Wedding” was released. It includes six songs.
