The largest X-magnitude flare occurred on the Sun. This was reported on the Telegram channel by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Institute for Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

It started at 20:15 Moscow time and peaked at 20:34.

On November 4, the Associated Press reported that American scientists recorded the strongest flare from a black hole ever observed, its light comparable to that of 10 trillion suns. This can happen because a massive star gets too close to the black hole and breaks up.
The cause of such phenomena could also be malfunctions of hot gas disks surrounding the black hole, or entangled magnetic fields.
