Lead singer and founder of American rock band 3 Doors Down, Brad Arnold, has passed away at the age of 47 after a battle with cancer. This was reported by the group on the social network Instagram (social network banned in Russia; owned by the company Meta, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation).

The performer passed away in his sleep surrounded by family on February 7. “Brad's songwriting became a cultural touchstone for an entire generation, spawning some of the most inspirational hits of the 2000s, including the band's hit 'Kryptonite,' which he wrote in math class when he was 15 years old,” the obituary said.
The group also extended thanks from Arnold's family for their support during this difficult time and asked for their privacy to be respected.
On January 23, it became known that Scorpions bass guitarist Francis Buchholz passed away at the age of 71.
