Analytical company Counterpoint Research has published a ranking of the best-selling smartphones until the end of 2025. Leading the global market is the iPhone 16, and the combined market share of the 10 most popular models has reached nearly 19% of global sales.

Apple occupies 7 positions in the top 10, while Samsung takes 3 positions. According to analysts, the dominance of these manufacturers in the mass market continues for the fourth year in a row.
Experts noted high demand for the iPhone 17 series: in the first quarter after launch, its sales increased by 11% compared to the previous generation. The biggest contribution came from the base version of the iPhone 17 as well as the iPhone 16e, which became the entry point into the Apple ecosystem and showed strong results in the US and Japanese markets.
Among Android devices, the world's best-selling smartphone in 2025 is the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G. Experts attribute its success to the balanced ratio between features and price. The top 10 also includes the high-end smartphone Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Thus, from first to third place are iPhone 16, 16 Pro Max and 16 Pro. Next are iPhone 17 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy A16 5G, Galaxy A06 4G, iPhone 17, iPhone 15, Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16e.
Counterpoint Research warns that the ongoing global memory shortage will put pressure on smartphone prices in the near term. The most notable effect is expected to occur in the budget and mid-price segments, mainly in emerging markets in the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
Previously, smartphones with the best cameras had a price range from 20 to 40 thousand rubles.
