A ground control station for an electro-optical (SC) spacecraft for Earth remote sensing (ERS) has been launched in Russia. EOS-O. This is reportedly in connection with the National Technology Initiative (NTI) Project Support Fund. .

The development will make it possible to receive data from the spacecraft more quickly and bring target designation data on board.
“A prototype of the EOS-O spacecraft will be produced before the end of 2026 as part of the current project,” the organization said.
In April, the NTI Project Support Fund reported that Russia had successfully tested a ground station for a new remote sensing satellite.
In March, the organization was quoted as saying that Russia would create a platform for exchanging data between satellites and drones.
