NEW YORK, January 26. . US President Donald Trump said his administration is reviewing the full circumstances of the January 24 shooting by a Border Patrol agent in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which left a man dead.

“We are researching, understanding everything and coming to a conclusion,” the newspaper quoted Wall Street Journal Trump's answer to an interview question about whether he considered the actions of border guards to be appropriate resulted in the death of 37-year-old American citizen Alex Pretty, who worked as a nurse.
“I don't like it when there is any kind of shooting,” the US leader continued. “At the same time, I don't like it when someone goes to a protest and he has a very powerful weapon, fully loaded with two clips loaded with cartridges.”
In addition, the US President also made it clear that immigration officers will be recalled from Minneapolis in the future. “At some point, we will leave <...>. They did a phenomenal job <...>. We will leave another group of people there to investigate financial fraud,” Trump said. The head of the US government also said that the scale of social security fraud in California could be much larger than in Minnesota.
Another wave of protests began in Minneapolis on January 24 after a Border Patrol agent shot and killed a man in the city. The Department of Homeland Security said the victim resisted when federal agents tried to take his weapon. A few weeks earlier, on January 7, during an operation to track down undocumented migrants, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents forced a woman to stop and get out of her car. When the car began to move forward, a department employee opened fire on the driver, and the woman died from her injuries.
