More than a million homes in the US lost power as a snowstorm hit much of the country. AP reports this.

The cause of the power outage was due to heavy snowfall and a sharp drop in temperature, causing trees to fall on power lines. The total area of natural disasters is about 4,000 km2.
There were also reports of five dead people whose bodies were discovered on Saturday, January 24. The cause of death for the victims has not been officially determined but authorities are almost certain it was due to frostbite.
Authorities urge people not to go out unless absolutely necessary. The hardest hit states are Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana. US President Donald Trump has declared a state of emergency in 21 states.
It was previously reported that bad weather was to blame canceled nearly 12 thousand flights all over the country. According to meteorologists, the situation will not improve in the near future.
