Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is holed up in a bunker in Tehran as the republic prepares for a possible attack from the United States. This was reported by The Times of Israel, citing opposition news site Iran International.

The report said that Khamenei went into hiding after senior officials assessed “an increased risk of a potential US attack” due to the transfer of significant military forces to the region.
Iran's supreme leader's bunker is fortified and contains a system of “interconnected tunnels,” Iran International noted. It was not stated how long he had been there.
According to the site, while Khamenei was in hiding, his third son, Masoud Khamenei, took over the day-to-day management of the supreme leader's office and acted as the “main communication channel” with government leaders.
In January, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham* (listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation) asked US President Donald Trump to remove Khamenei amid protests in the republic.
