A kindergarten employee in the US state of Minnesota strangled a child. Mirror reported that in five days, the baby will celebrate his first birthday.

It was determined that the student's murder occurred on September 22, 2025. Law enforcement officers responded to the facility in response to a call from 18-year-old Thea Russell, who said over the phone that 11-month-old Narvie Mucklebust had suddenly stopped breathing. They tried to resuscitate the child but were unsuccessful.
During a three-month investigation, law enforcement officials discovered that similar incidents had occurred at the kindergarten before the boy's death. For three days, police also went to the address of the educational facility because a student had respiratory problems and was bleeding from the mouth.
The victim's condition is stable. The incident was ruled non-violent. On the day Mucklebust died, the girl's symptoms also returned. The kindergarten's license has been revoked.
Investigators' suspicions fell on the nanny, who had been in contact with the children over the past few days. Later it turned out that the girl strangled children at least three times in an attempt to attract attention to herself. The third episode, as the police clarified, ends with the death of the boy.
The employee was arrested on January 13 and charged with second-degree murder and several counts of aggravated assault.
